Quick video

This is one video that is short. The other ones are all too long to be downloaded to our blog. Grant is trying to figure out how to cut them to make them shorter. Merry Christmas to everyone! ~Grant, Rebecca & Lillian

Merry Christmas!

Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas! We are sorry that we couldn't make it back to Iowa to see everyone this Christmas, but our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Thank you all for kindness and generosity. We have tried to stick with a few family traditions even while away. We had chili for our Christmas Eve dinner and made a cinnamon roll tree for Christmas breakfast. Cinnamon Rolls are my favorite food after all. We hope you all have a safe and happy holidays this year. We are still planning to make it back in February and look forward to seeing you all then. Have a Wonderful Christmas full of lots of joy.
Happy Holiday's!

1 Month Old...Grant Photography

Daddy decided to be a photographer today and get some cute shots of Lillian. He did a pretty good job, I must say. She is 1 month old and still growing. I'm sure she's gaining weight, because she definitly feels heavier when she wants to be held all the time. Hope everyone is enjoying the snow. We got about a foot yesterday and it's still snowing. More expected tomorrow.

Stroller Time!

It was so nice today that Shannon and Mommy took Lily for a walk. 60 degrees outside. This is the second time she's used her stroller and this time she was asleep the whole time. She loved being outside. The cute pink outfit is from Aunt Bethany...first time wearing this one. Doesn't she look adorable?!?

Aunt Shannon is here!

Shannon arrived on Saturday to see Lily. Lily is having lots of fun cuddling with her aunt. Shannon babysat for a few hours on Sunday so Mom and Dad could get some xmas shopping done. Thanks Aunt Shannon!

3 Weeks Old

Wow, we can't believe Lily is 3 weeks old already. We had a quick visit yesterday with the lactation nurse at Mommy's work and she weighed in at 9 lbs 4 oz!! Yes, she can eat. All of Mommy's co-workers loved seeing how big she has gotten. Here's a few new pics. Grandma Brinkman got Lily a swing. She doesn't like it most of the time, but hopefully will get used to it so Mommy can get some things done. She likes to be held all the time.

Bye Bye Gpa & Gma. We'll Miss You!

Gpa & Gma flew back to Iowa last night. We know they were sad to say bye to Lily, but they can always come back for another visit. They were a big help with cooking and cleaning while they were here. Grandma even stayed up for one feeding the night before they left so Mom could get some much needed sleep. Mom got 5 1/2 hours of sleep straight!! Thanks Gma & Gpa and we'll miss you.

Making Cookies

We made Xmas cookies! Lillian was not too excited about the cookies, but Dad did try to give her a lick of frosting, but she didn't want any. We also had to dress her in one of her Xmas outfits. If only the saying on her shirt would actually happen. "All Mommy wants for Xmas is a silent night."

Date Night

On Saturday night Gpa & Gma stayed home with Lily so Mom and Dad could go out for dinner. We were only gone for 3 hours, but it was nice break. Thanks Gpa and Gma.

2 weeks old!

Lily was 2 weeks old yesterday and we went today to see the pediatrician. She weighed 8 lbs 15 oz., and was 20 1/4 inches long. She is eating much better now and is enjoying having Gpa and Gma here for a visit. She never gets put down. This is one of her many xmas outfits. We had to put one on her while we put up our tree.

Gma and Gpa Rock

Not only doid Grandma and Grandpa rock with guitar hero. I've hardly had to go without being held the whole time they're here. This is awesome!!

Welcome Gma & Gpa

Today we would like to welcome Grandma and Grandpa Brinkman to New Hampshire. Well, they actually arrived on Tuesday, but we're just a little slower online. As, you can see they've helped us get into the holiday spirit by putting up the Christmas tree.

Where did Dad go?

So, I'll be heading back to work tommorow for the first time since Lillian's birth. However, I'm sure that Rebecca is more than up to the task of taking care of Lillian while I'm away. And, as you can see I'm sure that Lillian will be thinking about me while I am away while dreaming of green grassy fairways and small little white dippled balls.

Who do I look like?

So, who is it that I get my good looks from. I've been told I look like a brinkman from the front, but my profile looks like dad. Please vote over to the right.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. I know that we sure did thanks to the excellent cooking of Rachel and Bethany. They were nice enough to make a turkey with all of the fixings, which I'm sure we wouldn't have enjoyed any other way. We were sorry to see them head home. Now it's just the three of us starting to settle in and get used to each other.

Aunt Bethany and Aunt Rachel are here!

Bethany and Rachel got here yesterday and have been a big help to Mom and Dad. They make all our meals which is wonderful. Lillian is doing well and we have learned has a very powerful scream! She definitly can get out attentions when she wants something. We had a visit with the pediatrician today and weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz already. The Dr. told us she must be eating well and is a "piggy." Mommy needs more sleep, but hopefully will get that while her sisters are here. She hasn't been feeling the greatest the last couple days. She is recovering from the c-section and the stress of having Lillian in the NICU.

Horray We're Home !!!

Lillian, Rebecca, and I all came home from the hospital today. Just in time to celebrate Rebecca's birthday. Happy Birthday Mother Small!

Saturday, November 22, 2008

Hello Everyone just a quick update.

Rebecca is doing good and recovering quickly. She has now gone wireless and is fully mobile. She just hasn't gotten her broadband speed back quite yet.

Lillian is currently in the NICU for precautionary reasons. Rebecca and her were running a temperature after delivery so there was a concern of infection. So, she is on a 48 hour antibiotic IV as a precautionary step. However, every indication to this point is that she is doing well and will probably be released from NICU either late tommorow or early Monday after the 48 hours have passed.

And don't worry about dad he is doing the best of them all, but he may have had the easiest job up to this point.
