Summer fun

Yes, it's been a while since a post but we've had a very busy and fun summer. My mom and sisters came to visit in June, girls finished their year of gymnastics off with a great show, spent a week on cape cod with grant's family, went for a visit to Storyland and the North country in NH, spent almost 2 weeks back in Iowa seeing friends and family, Garrett got his first haircut today and now Lily is preparing to start kindergarten next week. CRAZY! I'm just going to post a bunch of pics and try to comment on them. Enjoy.

 Alaina milked a cow at the Iowa State Fair. Then it's tail slapped her in the head and she was done. :)

Happy Birthday Garrett!

We celebrated Garrett's birthday today with some of our closest neighbor friends. They've watched Garrett grow this year and along with us can not believe he is 1!! Crazy! He's super excited to have gotten all the "boy" toys. He loves all the trucks. For everyone else from Iowa that sent packages they are still wrapped and we will open them on his actual birthday. ;) Thanks in advance. Garrett is a speed demon lately, walking everywhere. He loves to climb stairs or anything for that matter. He loves to swing, dance and be outside. Some of his favorite foods are mac and cheese, green beans, sausage, watermelon, pineapple and blueberry cake dunkin donuts. ;) He is a very happy little man. Takes 1 or 2 naps a day and sometimes will nap for 4 hours straight. I think he's growing. Still sleeps great at night, usually at least 10 hours. Still makes me sad that my "baby" is already turning 1! And as I told Grant he will always be my baby! 

In other news…Lily lost her first tooth this last week….and then lost another one the next day! 

Alaina is loving gymnastics. She is so strong. Her teachers are very impressed by the things she can do on the bars.
